Can I build a deck together with friends on TCGSwap?

Yes. Every deck on TCGSwap has a Collaboration Space. You can invite up to 5 friends; they can suggest card changes, discuss ideas, and playtest proposals. You review and apply suggestions before anything changes in your deck.

How does deck collaboration work?

It works like a pull request for your deck. Collaborators open the deck editor, make their proposed changes, and submit a suggestion with a note. You get notified, open the comparison view to see exactly what they changed, and choose to apply all, cherry-pick individual cards, or decline. Nothing changes in your deck until you approve it.

Can collaborators chat and discuss the deck?

Yes. The Collaboration Space has a shared group discussion thread for the whole deck, plus a per-suggestion Q&A thread for each proposal. You can @mention teammates and link specific cards inline.

Is collaborative deck building free?

Yes, collaboration is free for all TCGSwap users during beta. You can invite up to 5 collaborators per deck.

Does TCGSwap work for MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece collaboration?

Yes. The Collaboration Space supports all four games — Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece. Format validation and card prices are included for each game.

How to build a deck with friends

Deck ideas are better with a second opinion. TCGSwap's collaboration works like a pull request for your deck list: friends propose changes, everyone discusses them, and nothing changes until you, the owner, apply them. It works for all four games, on public and private decks.

Invite people

Open your deck and click Collaborate in the editor toolbar (or the group icon on the deck in Decks).
In Members, enter a friend's email and send the invite. Up to 5 collaborators per deck.

They get an email, plus an in-app notification if they already have an account. No account yet? Send it anyway — the invitation waits for them when they sign up with that address.

The Collaboration Space

Everyone shares one workspace with three areas:

Discussion — a chat thread for the deck. Type @name to mention someone, or @card and a card name to link a card inline.
Suggestions — every proposal, open and resolved, each with its own Q&A thread so you can ask "why this card?" next to the change itself.
Members — who's in, and who's still invited.

Making a suggestion

Click Make suggestion to open the deck editor in suggestion mode, and build your changes like you would in your own deck. Collaborators get an extra Their Cards tab showing the cards the owner already owns — handy for suggesting upgrades that don't need buying. Submit with a note explaining your thinking; you can withdraw it any time before it's actioned.

Reviewing as the owner

Open Suggestions and click Compare on a proposal to see your deck side by side with the suggested one, card by card, with full stats. Then:

Apply all — take the whole suggestion.
Cherry-pick — tick only the changes you want.
Decline — reject it.

Applying creates a normal new version of the deck, labelled with who suggested it, so you can always roll it back.

Privacy

Inviting someone shares your full card list with them, even for a private deck. You can remove a collaborator at any time and they lose access immediately.
