Can I build a deck together with friends on TCGSwap?

Yes. Every deck on TCGSwap has a Collaboration Space. You can invite up to 5 friends; they can suggest card changes, discuss ideas, and playtest proposals. You review and apply suggestions before anything changes in your deck.

How does deck collaboration work?

It works like a pull request for your deck. Collaborators open the deck editor, make their proposed changes, and submit a suggestion with a note. You get notified, open the comparison view to see exactly what they changed, and choose to apply all, cherry-pick individual cards, or decline. Nothing changes in your deck until you approve it.

Can collaborators chat and discuss the deck?

Yes. The Collaboration Space has a shared group discussion thread for the whole deck, plus a per-suggestion Q&A thread for each proposal. You can @mention teammates and link specific cards inline.

Is collaborative deck building free?

Yes, collaboration is free for all TCGSwap users during beta. You can invite up to 5 collaborators per deck.

Does TCGSwap work for MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece collaboration?

Yes. The Collaboration Space supports all four games — Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece. Format validation and card prices are included for each game.

The Quickstart deck builder

Quickstart turns "I want to try this strategy" into a full, legal deck list in seconds. It's built for newcomers, for testing a strategy before you collect it, and for spinning up a playtest deck quickly.

How to use it

On Decks, tap Quickstart (the wand icon).
Pick a game, then a format and a theme or strategy.
Optionally choose the card source, then tap Generate.

The deck opens in the editor as a normal deck you own.

Full database or your collection

Quickstart can use any printed card, or only My Collection — cards you've marked as owned. Use your collection to build something you can put together tonight; if it can't fill the deck, it tells you how many slots it could fill and can generate a partial deck.

What each game builds

Magic: The Gathering — choose colours and Aggro, Midrange, Control or Combo. Land count follows the strategy (fewer for Aggro, more for Control, roughly 18–28), and spells are split across threats, removal, card draw, ramp and more. Commander builds a 100-card singleton deck locked to your commander's colours.

Pokémon — always 60 cards. Aggressive runs a wide line of hard-hitting Basics; Evolution builds real evolution lines, including the Basic and Stage 1 a Stage 2 needs; Control plays fewer Pokémon and more Trainers.

Yu-Gi-Oh — pick Beatdown, Control or Combo, and the builder keeps a playable Level curve so you can actually summon your monsters. Where a curated list exists for an archetype you choose, it builds from that established list instead.

One Piece — pick a Leader and Aggro, Midrange or Control; the 50 cards all share a colour with your Leader.

After generating

Generated decks are legal, coherent starting points — not tuned competitive lists. Switch the left panel to My Cards to see what you own, open Stats for curve and consistency numbers, and playtest it before you commit.
